Young Microbiologists Mini-Symposium

The Department of Molecular Microbiology at the John Innes Centre is organising a one and a half day Young Microbiologists Mini-Symposium which will be held with effect from Monday, 17th to Tuesday, 18th November 2014.

The aim of the workshop is for the John Innes Centre to hear state-of-the-art presentations in prokaryotic microbiology, to enhance our understanding of where exciting new developments in the field are heading and to help shape our ideas about future research areas that could be developed within the Department. Our intention is to invite young post-docs or outstanding PhD students working on any exciting aspect of prokaryotic microbiology to give 30 minute talks.

Applicants will be asked to provide a CV, list of publications and a short abstract of their proposed talk. The deadline for applications will be Friday 29th August 2014.

If there is anyone in your lab or you know of people elsewhere who fit this description and who you think would be interested in participating, please send their names and e-mail addresses to Marian Binks (marian.binks@jic.ac.uk).
